Charleston Daily Mail reports that on December 14th, 2009, several businesses in the Charleston and South Charleston area have alerted authorities about incidents of counterfeit bills circulation. Four suspects in a white Chrysler, have been purchasing goods and Lowe's Wal-Mart, Toys-R-Us, and other stores with fake money, then returning them for genuine cash. The seized merchandise has been returned to the merchants, and the investigation has been taken over by Secret Service, which handles all cases of countefeit currency.
